Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and ClearLine FLS Consulting, LLC ("we", "us"), which operates Tagalong. By creating an account or using Tagalong on iPhone, Android, or the web, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Tagalong.
1. Who can use Tagalong
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You're responsible for your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since that's how you sign in.
2. Your content
You own what you post: trips, plans, notes, messages, photos, and anything else ("your content"). You give us a limited license to store, display, and share your content with the people you share it with, and to operate and improve Tagalong. If you publish an itinerary to Explore, you also let us show that itinerary publicly, with names, dates, and costs removed. You can unpublish it at any time.
You're responsible for your content and must have the right to post it.
3. Content and conduct that isn't allowed
Tagalong has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. "Objectionable" means content that:
- harasses, threatens, bullies, or intimidates anyone;
- attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age;
- is sexually explicit, or sexualizes minors in any way;
- shows or encourages violence, self harm, or dangerous activity;
- shares someone else's private information without permission;
- impersonates another person or misrepresents who you are;
- is spam, a scam, or misleading, including fake or paid reviews presented as genuine in Explore;
- infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights; or
- is illegal or promotes illegal activity.
You also may not add people to trips to harass or spam them, try to access trips or accounts that aren't yours, interfere with the service, or scrape it.
4. Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
You can report any message, photo, or user from inside the app, and you can block a user so neither of you sees the other's messages. We review reports promptly and aim to act within 24 hours. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, with or without notice. We also filter content automatically, and filters are imperfect in both directions.
5. Bookings and travel partners
Tagalong is not a travel agent. Flights, hotels, activities, restaurants, and other bookings are made directly with the travel company, under that company's terms, prices, and cancellation rules. We aren't responsible for their services, availability, or pricing.
Commission disclosure. We may earn a commission when you book through some links in Tagalong. The app says so next to those links.
6. The ledger is not a payment service
Tagalong keeps track of shared costs and who owes whom. It does not hold, send, or receive money. When you settle up, you pay through Venmo or another service under that service's terms. Ledger amounts are only as accurate as what your group enters, so check them before you pay.
7. Groups and roles
Trip creators and co planners can invite people, change roles, and edit plans. Viewers can read but not change a trip. You can leave any trip. Anything you posted to a trip before leaving may remain visible to its members unless you delete it or delete your account.
8. Paid features
Tagalong is free today. If we offer paid features later, prices and terms will be shown before you buy, and purchases in the iPhone or Android app are handled by Apple or Google under their terms, including their refund policies.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings or at heytagalong.com/delete-account. What happens to your data is described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering Tagalong, and we'll give reasonable notice where we can.
10. Disclaimers
Tagalong is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error free, or that information in it, including flight details, places, costs, and itineraries from other users, is accurate. Always confirm travel details with the travel company.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost bookings, missed travel, or disputes between trip members. Our total liability for any claim related to Tagalong is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
12. Indemnity
If a claim is brought against us because of your content or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Ohio, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you live in a country whose law gives you the right to sue at home, that right isn't affected.
14. Apple and Google
If you downloaded Tagalong from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Tagalong and aren't responsible for claims about it, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you aren't located in a country subject to a US government embargo and aren't on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is meaningful, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tagalong after that means you accept the new terms.
